The FOTOHOF calling format developed in 2021 is intended to offer artists a platform to present themselves and their work to a qualified audience consisting of experts and visitors. FOTOHOF calling is intended to offer artists the opportunity to present their own work for discussion and create a space for networking and exchange.

In 2022, this event could take place again on 1 October. More than 250 artists responded to the online call for submissions, from which the FOTOHOF team selected 25 to present to an online audience as a “shortlist” (calling.fotohof.at).

11 artists were finally invited to Salzburg to present their projects to a select group of experts, consisting of Nela Eggenberger (Eikon, Vienna), Kerstin Stremmel (Museum der Moderne Salzburg) and Christian Wachter (Vienna), the Fotohof team and numerous visitors.
