In 2021, FOTOHOF launched FOTOHOF>CALLING, a networking event designed to bring the artistic photography community together. As an association comprising of photographers and artists across generations, FOTOHOF uses its platform to contribute to the ongoing discourse in photography. The event offers a space for photographers, experts, and enthusiasts to exchange ideas and to collaborate. A jury, made up of association members, works to represent the diversity of the photography scene – from emerging talents and projects still in development to established genres and trends – ensuring an inclusive and comprehensive approach to this form of art.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, FOTOHOF>CALLING took place in Salzburg for the third time. From over 200 submissions, 12 artists were selected to present and discuss their projects on site. Following the talks in the afternoon, an open-air projection of the expanded selection of 26 projects took place on the courtyard in front of the gallery, accompanied by a DJ set by Jan Leitner. The FOTOHOF>CALLING magazine, which was published as part of this year’s call, was also presented for the first time on this evening.
